   Traditional methods of installing rigid foam in ceilings can be time consuming and costly. Up until now there have been few options for creating and maintaining the mandatory 1" air space, which allows the air to move freely from the eave vent up to the ridge vent. One inch furring strips, made onsite, would have to be secured in place along with the foam board. Manufactured airways may not always protect the dimensional integrity needed to keep the air from moving freely.
